These coffee beans truly compel you to savour every sip. If you have been drinking softer tasting coffee like Kenyan AA or the more expensive Jamaican Blue Mountain then the intensely complex and inviting taste of these beans will knock you off of your feet. Truly breathtaking. Slightly sweetened cappuccino style is the best way I like it. I love the Coffeecompass service as the quality of raw green beans I received is the best Yirgacheffe I have had so far. I am still in the process of experimenting various roast levels but as usual, medium roast (-stopping it right bang in the middle of 'medium') retains the "origin" characteristics pretty well. Very highly recommended. Thanks for reading. (Posted on 02/03/2013)
I absolutely adore this coffee, it is the one I seem to compare all other coffees to! The floral aroma really lifts and frames(if you will) the sweet berries on the palate and that unique earthy finish, to me, is the taste of africa! One sip floods my mind with images of wide african plains, wild animals, conmmunities tending to coffee crops and singing wile sorting beans. My personal favorite way to enjoy it is in the form of a macchiato, where the small amount of sweet microfoam, really creates a relationship akin to strawberries and cream, a match made in heaven!
Many thanks to Coffee Compass and your roastmaster who really understands how to bring out the very intrecacies of each variety of bean and capture the essence of what makes it unique. (Posted on 25/11/2011)
