The small coffee growers from the Acatenango region in Guatemala have worked together to combine only the finest beans they had to offer. This has resulted in a truly marvellous coffee rivaling the best from the better known Antigua region.
Acatenango coffee is grown under dense shade as high as 6,500 feet (2,000 meters), creating a forest that is an ecological gift. Constant eruptions from the nearby Fuego volcano keep the coarse, sandy soils full of minerals.
Temperate gusts from the Pacific Ocean and marked seasons allow coffee to be sun-dried, and its processing follows age-old family traditions.
We think this coffee is lovely. Great depth of flavour with a bright acidity and good body. Our customers obviously agree with us as it is selling very quickly.
