Monsoon Malabar is so called because the beans are exposed to the moist, salty monsoon winds in the Indian state of Kerala.  Because of this, they swell in size and take on a soft mellow flavour.  This coffee has grown in popularity over recent years as people have discovered it's most unusual full-bodied cup with low acidity.  We think this coffee is best suited to a full to dark roast which our Roastmaster believes enhances it's rare and special characteristics.
