Big tasting, big body. You can tell this is a great Indonesian as it has those unmistakeable Spicy notes in the frontend. Almost like nutmeg and peppery notes, with a deliciously chocolate undertone & big tasting finish to it. It roasts like a dream too. Superb coffee - would definitely recommend for anyone who loves Sumatra/Java coffees.

The city of Kalossi is situated in Sulawesi, an island in Indonesia. It's a coffee we haven't had in the Roastery for a number of years now, but we're delighted it's back. Despite Indonesia being in the top 5 Largest coffee producing country's in the world, coffee isn't native to Indonesia. It was brought over by the Dutch in the 17th Century. The large island of Sulawesi, formally Celebes, is located in the centre of the archipelago.

This lot is Grade 1 and is grown by a number of smallholder farms, most of which will be family run in the mountainous region of Toraja. The coffee is wet hulled process which is typical for the region.
