A fantastic coffee shop in Brighton approached us as the coffee they were getting was too acidic and astringent. The brief was to create a coffee that focussed on deep, rich flavours. We presented them with this, and they've never looked back since!
This blend is a wonderful espresso coffee that also works perfectly as a filter, aeropress or cafetiere. It is 100% pure arabica blend using select Estate coffees from Brazil, Peru, India and Kenya. This coffee has depth, richness and smooth dark chocolate notes with a soft acidity that lends itself marvellously to espresso.

A Very Pleasant Blend

"Full disclosure, I'm not a big fan of light/medium roast blends usually. However, when out and about you are invariably served a nondescript medium roast which does nothing too offend but has not a lot to right home about. But every now and then you end up in coffee shop that serves a delightful coffee and you make note to return here should the stars align. And so it is with the Brighton Lanes Espresso. I spent my late teens and early 20s in and around Brighton and loved the buzz of the old lanes. So when perusing the Coffee Compass website to find a coffee to gift to someone (they're not so keen on my love of extra dark roast (see their French Breakfast for another great coffee!) I bought this based on nostalgic longing. It did not disappoint. It is smooth, rich and has great depth. Makes a wonderful espresso but is equally at home as a long black (or add milk if you have to). A very pleasant blend."

Perfect morning espresso

"I love this blend for my morning espresso. You know you're drinking coffee! It's thick and strong with chocolate and smokey notes"

I regularly try a different bag with my 3 bags of Brighton lanes.

"........ but I,m going to just order 4 bags of BL from now on. I just can’t find ANY coffee that is better. I love the creamy , rounded, perfect taste of the espresso. I have mine in a latte/cappuccino. 64deg and medium grind = bliss. Thanks."

Current favourite

"I have, as you know, been a regular purchaser of your Mocha Italia and French Breakfast, dark roast coffees for some time now. I recently tried your Brighton Lanes Blend and frankly I'm converted. Its a delightful fulsome and well rounded delicious blend which has fast become my coffee of choice. Although it is a lighter roast than the French Breakfast or Mocha Italia it has really hit the spot for me at this time. I will continue to buy an occasional bag of French Breakfast and Mocha Italia but, for the present, Brighton Lanes will be my main choice of purchase. As a little aside can I just say that I remain entirely impressed with the efficiency and speed of receiving my purchases from you as well as the courtesy and professionalism when I telephone you. I warmly commend coffee-compass and their quality products which are of the highest standard."
