Within the Kochere district, Kore is the village, or 'kebele', where this coffee is grown and processed. Kore is about 25k from Yirgacheffe Town.

Kochere is southwest of the town of Yirga Cheffe and near a little village of Ch'elelek'tu in the Gedeo zone. While a "classic" Yirga coffee, all of the sub regions tend to have different flavour profiles. Adado - stone fruit, Konga - citrus and stone fruit, and for Kochere, it is a strong fruit tea that comes along with the citrus and stone fruit.

The coffee is produced by around 650 smallholder farmers at an altitude of 1800-2000 metres above sea level. The farmers bring only their best, ripe cherries to the mill where they are graded, sorted, depulped and fermented under water for around 36 - 48hours. The parchment is then sorted in washing channels and laid out across raised African drying tables for about 2 weeks until moisture levels reach 12% or lower.

Deliciously crisp & bright acidity with notes of floral lavender & sweet mango with a tea like finish and good body. Very classy Yirgacheffe.
