We developed this blend to try and maximise on the crema and the natural sweetness of the coffee. We found that the Bourbon variety of coffee made an ideal base for this blend and through combining it with special Asian coffees we achieved a very unusual but ideal espresso blend.
The crema is amazing, notes of toffee, chocolate and almond with a deliciously sweet finish. Our Roastmaster uses this coffee as a preference for making a latte or cappucino.

Fabulous blend
"This is one of the most sucessful espresso blends I have come across anywhere in the UK (the others are also from Coffee Compass). If you know what classic Italian espresso is then you will understand it when I say (subjectively of course) that this blend ticks all the boxes. Tiger stripe crema is thick and plentiful, yet the taste is very smooth and sufficiently bright (acidic) to balance off the chocolate note. It's a darkish roast but nowhere near burnt. The flow down the spout is ideal, slow and thick, very easy to pull right as should be the case with a proper espresso blend. The robusta element, which must be in there, seems wonderfully incorporated into the flavour and doesn't stand out in a bad way as it the case with so many other non Italian blends that dare to include it. Great find for anyone in search of a fresh Italian espresso roast, here in the UK."

The perfect coffee
"This is my go to all rounder coffee that I drink everyday. It’s a perfect medium roast coffee that to me tastes chocolaty. I don’t like even a hint of dark roast flavours and to me compass have got this just right. The other brilliant thing is the service, I order online and usually get the coffee in less than a week, sometimes 3 days. I do try other coffee companies every now and then for variety but so far without fail I end up back on this one."
